The Johnny A. "Standard"

My name is Dan and I have taken over the admin duties for the Johnny A. Guitar registry from Chris. Chris has done an outstanding job creating the Johnny A Guitar registry and I will do my best to keep his high standards. Some of you may know me from the site that I started for the Chambered-Reissue . A lot of my ideas for that page were taken from the JAR. I have worked closely with Chris in trying to bring this page back to life and you will have to excuse me if some things do not work properly at first. Let me know if you spot a broken link or something is in the wrong spot. Along with Chris, I have a pretty good knowledge of the Johnny A guitar. I met Johnny for the first time at the Gibson Custom Shop in 2002 where he played at their private party. I again saw him play in 2003 & 2004 at Gibson. I was at Gibson for the release of the Johnny A. guitar and briefly played serial numbers 8 & 9. I have seen him play several other times in other locations.

This next photo is an important one to me. On both ends are the old and new admins for the JAR and in the middle are the creators of the signature guitar. It was taken at a Gibson Custom Shop Fantasy Camp where Chris and I got to work side-by-side with the wonderful people in the shop. We learned a lot about the Johnny A. guitar as well as other Gibson models.
