45 was sold in Feb 2005 by Jim M of LA. He purchased one of the Custom Shop Jimmy Page models and need to thin the herd a bit.   45 was sold via ebay and sold for an incredibly low price of $2350.00.  The MCR is waiting to hear from the new owner of this guitar.

045 is a trans black hard tail .  This guitar was originally sold by Music Machine out of Kennewick, WA to it's original owner whose name  isn't known.   In any case, in September 2004, this guitar was offered for sale on Ebay by a music store in Alabama but failed to sell (obviously no one was looking!!!)  In September 2004 Jim  M from LA, stumbled across this guitar, contacted the store and purchased it.   J 045 has a new home!!!  Here's what Jim has to say about his new  guitar

I spoke with Brian at Elite Music in Montgomery, Alabama. The store had listed the guitar on eBay last week on a 1 day auction at $2400. I missed it and NOBODY bid. They then listed it at $2600 for one day and again non one bid. I called the store Friday and Brian told me the original owner had purchased the guitar at Music Machine a couple of months ago and it appeared he never touched it. He brought the guitar to the store and they listed it the first time, then took the guitar on trade for an amplifier and hence the higher price for the second listing. I purchased it, delivered to Los Angeles including insurance for $2485, which sounded like a good deal. (not as good as $2400 plus shipping, but pretty darn close) I am shocked that nobody bid on it while it was on eBay.

As for having two of these guitars = I have a couple of "duplicate" guitars. I have three Teles - a Paisley reissue, a Harrison solid Rosewood - very rare and heavy and a custom built 52 Sunburst Ash. I also have several Strats - a rare Aluminum bodied, a 54 Custom Shop which I had signed by all the Eagles when I was an anchor at CNN, a USA Roland Ready Strat and a Buddy Guy Polka Dot (I am a sucker for kitsch)

I almost bought a Baker chambered or hollow bodies guitar and was drawn to them in part by the fact they are no longer made. But when I saw the Black stop tail piece example I thought it was different enough from my Bigsby Sunburst to warrant a second look and I finally succumbed to the urge and bought it. The guitar is due to arrive next Wednesday or Thursday (I asked them to ship it 3 day but not to send it Friday as it would sit in a warehouse over the weekend.
