Current
Owner: Ed H. I am 39 years old,
and I have been playing for only about 9 years. I eBayed my collection up
to 30 axes, and then sold down to 8, and now I'm back up to about 40
guitars. I own mostly Gibsons, including an L5 Wes Montgomery, a 1962
blonde Byrdland with Florentine cutaway, a 1990s Jimmy Page Les Paul with
the tags still attached, a natural 1975 Les Paul Custom with a maple
fretboard (only year of regular production: 1977), and a 1980 Custom
Artist (sort of a souped up, handmade prototype 355 with different inlays
at each fret). I have two caramel finished Gibson Pat Martino models: I
had to get another, because the first one is signed by Pat BIG on the
back. Only one Fender these days: a 1981 Strat Elite (pre-Blackie model
with push-button pickup switches. Various others, including 3 RainSong
jazzboxes, one black and two are white. The JA is an extremely versatile
guitar, and very light to hold for a few hours. Together with the Martino,
it is my main axe for jazz and blues, but it can play anything, even
slide! |
