These FANTASTIC photos are just they way it was built at the Custom Shop.

JA 211 is the only quilt top trans green guitar to date.  I'm awaiting photos of the guitar from Gary but it should be a stunning axe! Congratulations Gary on a very interesting one-off JA.   Gary is a custom direct member and I (your loyal JA webmaster) met him at the shop. Gary picked out a stellar piece of quilted wood for his guitar.  (probably from this stack of JA reserved lumber)   Check this amazing critter out.  Here's what Gary has to say:

Hello to all you "JA " lovers out there!!! I'm a Gibson dealer & guitar lover in Wisc. I wanted to share some pictures of my latest Custom Shop creation I received a couple  of weeks ago. It's a custom JA, S/N 211, with a few features I requested from the  Custom Shop. The color is a faded green 7A quilt top with an iguana green back. The wood was hand picked by me in July 2004 at the Fantasy Camp. Gibson puts the Camp on every year for Custom Direct Members, it's an awesome event!!! I have a  considerable collection of Custom Shop guitars that I have hand picked on my numerous visits to the factory. This JA has the pick guard signed by Johnny but not installed. The  pickups were custom ordered separately from Gibson, ("57 Classics) and supplied to the  factory for installation. The guitar looks good in the pictures, but awesome in person. Thanks to all the great assembly people at Gibson as well as Steve Christmas and  Philip Whorton for making it happen. Hope you Enjoy !!!   Also, I huge thanks to our webhost, Chris A ( Hmm, kind of sounds like another model guitar for the future...) for documenting the future of this great Johnny A series, some day  we'll all appreciate we were there at the beginning !!!   Thanks...Gary
