This is a pretty, right-handed build with a stop tailpiece, finished in Sunset Glow. Here's what Paul has to say about his guitar!

I love this guitar! When I first saw and read about the Johnny A, I got excited. The long-scale, all carved, truly hollow design has incredible tonal range and sensitivity for blues and jazz. It has superb note articulation, thanks to the combination of design specs. The versatility of this model well exceeds the ES-3XX guitars, which I think is saying a lot. The all-solid wood construction, in cahoots with a long scale enable one to get some serious jazzbox goodness from the neck pickup -- on a thinline! With both pickups on, it's a harmonically richer, edgy jazzbox-meets-ES-3XX sort of tone. Using the bridge pickup alone, one gets well into Les Paul territory with the Johnny A. I can't say enough about the one-piece, continuous back and sides. Oh, what marvelous mahogany! That wood, carved flat inside and arched outside, is a brilliant feature. All the comparisons with other guitars notwithstanding, one can also discover a unique tonal palette in the Johnny A -- listen to Johnny A playing his namesake axe.  Physically, the guitar is light, well balanced, real comfortable to hold, with a beautiful shape that says "Gibson classic," and handsome details in binding and inlay. I've been as critical of Gibson guitars as anybody; and apart from the historic reissues, I think the Johnny A Custom Signature model is the best new-design electric guitar the company has offered since what, the SG?.

JA 256 liives down the road from Johnny A.  This is a very pretty right handed guitar with a stop tail piece and is finished in Sunset Glow. Here's what Peter has to say about his guitar!

I have been a guitar player for many years, having journeyed from rock to jazz to blues.  I find the Johnny A model to be one of the best sounding and most versatile guitars I have every played.  I especially like its clean, clear, punch, and the excellent definition between notes.  I own and play a number of other guitars, including a PRS Santana II, PRS  Hollow body II, Les Paul, 1958 Gibson ES125TD, Strat, and Guild Bluesbird.
