I have your site to thank when it comes to finding
JA294. The thought of a "one-off" Johnny A guitar had never even crossed
my mind, I was just curious about how many had been made. Scrolling to
the end of your list that day, I saw JA293 and was immediately intrigued!
And then, when I found out that JA294 was available, I was simply "a
goner". Thank goodness for an understanding wife! Why I Purchased
It ... From the moment I heard "Hip Bone" by Johnny A. (my first
exposure), I knew that his sound and style represented where I wanted to
be as a musician. I have always loved the sound of a hollowbody guitar
(my first guitar was a Epiphone Riviera/335 copy in the 70's), and the
Johnny A Signature model sounded like perfection to me! After I got it
home, I was not disappointed--the gritty clean sound coupled with the
sustain and singing quality of the guitar with some mild distortion is
incredible (I'm currently playing it through a Soldano Lucky 13 and a
Reverend Hellhound--each work equally well with it)! My search is over--I
intend to play the Johnny A. till the end of my days!
