The Johnny A is a unique guitar, from its neck contour to its voicing.   
The neck shape I like most is the neck on the current VOS R0's.  
The  Johnny A neck, though a bit beefier, has a very comfortable shape,  particularly higher on the neck, and cuts down on hand fatigue.  
Its  voice combines a bright, snappy attach with a warm, lush body and a  very sweet decay. 
 It has a bit less sustain than a Les Paul, but  enough sustain to rock when you pour the gas to it.  
It is hands down  the most beautiful electric Gibson has made in a long time.  
Though it  has quite a few appointments, every thing about iut is tasteful.  
There  is nothing gaudy about this guitar.  
I applaud Gibson for continuing to  make such a high quality instrument.
